Eagles Half Back Paddy Coupar makes Scotland Pro Debut v Tonga
Paddy Coupar is on top of the world after making his Scotland Professional Debut against Tonga last Saturday 8th November at Browne Park, Rockhampton. Coupar came on as a replacement for Mick Nanyn at right center with around 20 minutes to go of the 7th v 8th place playoff.
After the match Coupar joined the squad on their end of tournament lap of honour to thank the fans in Australia for their support of the Bravehearts throughout their World Cup campaign.
When the team all returned to the changing rooms Coupar recieved his international cap form Queensland State of Origin and Australia legend Gary Larson, who then went on to describe how much of an honour it was to represent your country and play international footy.
The day finished for Coupar and fellow Edinburgh Eagle and Scotland Assistant Coach Angus McNab with the Tongan team performing their Haka and a traditional song at the after match function.
